The Opportunity
This role plays a pivotal part in shaping and driving impactful development programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing initiatives from program design to implementation, working closely with various stakeholders to deliver outcomes. Your focus will be on contributing to long-term strategic goals, handling budgeting, contract management, and ensuring smooth execution.
Candidates must be Australian Citizens with a minimum Negative Vetting 2 or higher clearance. Key responsibilities include:
Supporting enhanced engagement with Pacific Island countries through new or existing development programs and activities.
Establishing effective contract management processes, monitoring milestones and budgets.
Assessing and managing risks to program implementation.
Ensuring monitoring and evaluation are effective and follow contractual requirements.
Coordinating internal and inter-agency advisory meetings and consultations.
Providing reporting and briefing.
Promoting a positive team culture where staff work collaboratively with a shared sense of purpose.
