We are seeking a Program Management & Change Management Consultant to join our team for a 4-6-month assignment. This is a full-time remote role working Monday - Friday, +:00 - 5:00 EST with ability to travel to our headquarters in Rockland County, NY as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Support the establishment of our Project Management Office (PMO):
• Support the build out in creating a roadmap for the PMO's implementation and integration within the organization.
• Define the governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
• Establish a Standardized Project Management Framework:
• Develop and implement a consistent methodology for project management and planning across the organization.
• Discovery/Audit:
• Conduct discovery sessions with team members to understand current workflows and communication methods.
• Gather insights on team collaboration and identify areas for improvement.
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations for enhancing team communication and workflow efficiency.
• Analyze team workflows and communication to identify improvement areas.
• Build a Knowledge Base of Best Practices:
• Create a repository of project management best practices, templates, and tools that can be accessed and utilized by project managers across the organization.
• Support the Design and Implementation of a Project Management Technical Solution:
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement a project management tool (e.g., Asana, Jira).
• Enhance Project Execution Efficiency:
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Manage 1-2 Key Projects:
• Ensure timely and successful completion of 1-2 critical projects.
• Mentor and shadow the Internal Project Manager.
• Transfer knowledge and best practices to the internal Project Manager.
• Transition and Handover:
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation and handover materials.
• Ensure smooth transition of ongoing projects to permanent project management resources.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), or Prosci Change Management Certification can be advantageous.
• 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, or change management roles.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading change initiatives within organizations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain integrity and trustworthiness in handling sensitive information.
