Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various projects within the organization. You will be responsible for updating budgeting sheets and maintaining processes, managing invoicing, handling accounts payable, and more. This position requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly invoices
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing financial insights and forecasts.
• Manage payroll processing
• Collaborate with project managers to track project budgets and expenditures.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong background in project accounting specifically.
• Understanding of processes such as AP/AR, journal entries, payroll, budgeting processes, etc.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and bank reconciliation is essential.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Compensation:
$70k to $80k per year annual salary.
