Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Architect at Aldecor, you will play a pivotal role in leading our design team to deliver outstanding office interior design and build projects. Your creativity, technical expertise, and leadership skills will be essential in driving projects from concept to execution.
1. Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead and manage a team of 5-6 design professionals, providing clear direction, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Allocate responsibilities and oversee team members' progress, ensuring tasks are executed effectively and within established timelines.
- Conduct regular design reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance design quality and team performance.
2. Project Conceptualization and Planning:
- Collaborate closely with clients and project stakeholders to understand project goals, objectives, and unique requirements.
- Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative design solutions that align with client brand identity and vision.
- Participate in project planning, outlining design strategies, scope, and key milestones.
3. Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Formation and Budget Management:
- Demonstrate expertise in creating and managing comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) specific to office interior design and build projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure accurate BOQ estimates and effective budget allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Detailed Design Development and Documentation:
- Oversee the creation of detailed architectural drawings, space plans, layouts, and 3D visualizations using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Develop construction documentation, including technical specifications, materials selection, and finishes, ensuring precise execution of design intent.
5. Project Execution and Quality Assurance:
- Coordinate closely with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of design plans while maintaining design integrity.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, address design-related challenges, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
6. Design Problem-Solving and Innovation:
- Navigate complex design challenges with a strategic mindset, leveraging your extensive industry experience to provide innovative and practical solutions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, infusing fresh ideas into the design process.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 3-4 years of progressive experience within the office interior design industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in leading design teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
- Expertise in creating and managing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for office interior design and build projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Exceptional creativity, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
