Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to support the delivery of multiple fabrication projects within our Structural and Plate businesses in Geelong.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, Production Managers, Planners, and the wider project team to ensure projects are coordinated efficiently and delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. This position is well suited to someone looking to build a long-term career in project management within heavy fabrication or manufacturing.
You will report to the Project Management function and work closely with senior management and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers in the coordination and administration of structural and plate fabrication projects
Assist with procurement activities, including tracking of materials, subcontractors, and long-lead items
Coordinate project documentation including RFIs, NCRs, VOs, drawings, and general correspondence
Assist with scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting against project milestones
Liaise with internal stakeholders across production, planning, quality, and logistics
Maintain accurate project records and support project close-out activities
Provide timely and accurate information to the finance team to support invoicing and cash flow
Attend and assist with project meetings, including preparation of agendas and minutes
Qualifications
Qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Experience in a project coordination, project administration, or similar role within fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or heavy industry
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in structural steel or plate fabrication is highly regarded
Exposure to production planning, procurement, or shop-floor operations will be advantageous
Additional Information
