Your Role as a Cost Specialist
We are looking for a dedicated Project Cost Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will support the development and management of financial strategies for projects. Collaborating closely with the project management team, you will take charge of budgets, cost monitoring, change orders, billings, and forecasts. Your expertise will contribute to generating reports that assist various stakeholders, managing variances, and ensuring adherence to improvement processes in project cost management.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
• Collaborating with all project disciplines to ensure a comprehensive understanding of cost budget allowances and targets.
• Reviewing project documents and specifications to track change orders, baseline estimates, and risk exposures effectively.
• Liaising with the accounting department for accurate billings, payment applications, and labor cost allocations.
• Working alongside project management, executives, subcontractors, and occasionally, clients.
• Conducting cost engineering, estimation, analysis, and control activities for projects with unique requirements.
• Ensuring quality, accuracy, and transparency in all cost management deliverables.
• Taking ownership of the cost control function while ensuring the integrity of cost and forecast reporting.
Essential Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Construction Management.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of project development stages, procurement processes, and construction execution practices.
• Proficiency in software such as PMWeb, dataServ, Excel, JDE, and Microsoft Bi Variance.
• Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Compensation Details:
