A technically strong candidate to serve as an enterprise architect for Cognizant's Enterprise Architecture (EA) team within the CIO organisation, who would:
Deliver corporate application teams advice on architecting enterprise-scale distributed apps on the cloud while keeping performance, scalability, dependability, and security in mind.
Analyze the enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) and adjust needs in different enterprise architecture (EA) perspectives.
Create and manage a multi-cloud hybrid application architecture that is vendor neutral.
Enterprise systems should be designed utilising industry-standard design patterns, methods, and cloud strategies.
Architect integration of business cloud apps, SaaS, and on-premise apps across many platforms utilising common patterns and practises for enterprise application teams.
Participate in SaaS and commercial application (on premise) due diligence with a strong emphasis on EA standards, rules surrounding technology stack, and implementation to ensure new systems meet our enterprise standards.
Hands-on experience researching and implementing proof-of-concept activities on cutting-edge technologies, tools, and frameworks, as well as making suggestions on potential solutions for business adoption.
Engage with enterprise application teams by exchanging knowledge about EA best practises, technical standards, and developments on a regular basis.
Promote EA principles, guidelines, and technical standards.
Skills and Work Experience
At least 20 years of relevant IT expertise, with a focus on architecting Enterprise IT application solutions in the HR or Finance areas.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in HR or Finance SaaS systems such as HCM (Workday), ERP (any), with understanding of Design, Implementation, and Integration in a Business Environment.
Have performed or are currently performing the position of solution or enterprise architect, with demonstrated expertise envisioning, architecting, and developing cloud solutions or deploying SaaS solutions for the enterprise.
Functional expertise of business processes such as hire-to-retire and order-to-cash is required.
Have served on or been a member of an enterprise Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Experience reviewing architecture in accordance with the IT plan and strategy.
Experience designing apps using containers and microservices, ideally for the cloud.
Collaboration experience with technology vendors and cloud service providers.
Experience in communication, presentation, and stakeholder management at the CxO level.
Prior expertise or familiarity with using PaaS on Azure or AWS for distributed enterprise-scale projects.
Capability to collaborate successfully with enterprise infrastructure, data, and security departments.
A technically enthusiastic individual with hands-on expertise is required, yet the individual must be able to work without losing sight of the broader EA goals and duties.
To explain methods and approaches, good verbal and written communication skills are required.
Analytical skills, problem solving abilities, and teamwork are required.
Specialization / Niche skills
Currently serving as an enterprise architect with demonstrated architectural experience in Enterprise Architecture.
Experience interacting with several client and vendor systems relating to Finance and HR tasks, such as Workday, Global Payroll, or any Financial (ERP) systems.
It is necessary to have hands-on expertise with Hybrid, Cloud Native Architecture, and Application Development.
Experience with 3rd Party API development/Micro-service products, as well as understanding of Micro-services and API design patterns, will be advantageous.
Capability to design solutions for complicated systems and business processes
