Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of EPC projects, ensuring that engineering designs, procurement processes, and construction activities align with the project’s objectives. As a Project Engineer, you will play an essential part in maintaining safety, quality, and cost-efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will be integral to the successful execution of projects, meeting client specifications while adhering to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:
Coordinate all engineering, procurement, and construction activities for assigned projects. Ensure alignment between project teams, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain project schedules and milestones.

Design and Technical Oversight:
Provide technical leadership and support to the engineering team, reviewing design specifications, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Procurement Support:
Assist the procurement team in managing the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring that all materials are available on time and meet the project’s technical specifications.

Cost Control and Budget Management:
Monitor project costs and schedules, ensuring that the project stays within the approved budget. Work closely with the project manager to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all construction activities comply with Total-Western’s quality standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify the integrity of work performed on-site.

Safety Management:
Work closely with the safety team to ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct safety audits and promote a safety-first culture within the project team.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and procurement records. Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).

3-5 years of experience in engineering or project management, preferably within EPC projects in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and procurement processes.

Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

Professional Engineer (PE) license or certification (preferred but not required).

Experience in managing both small and large-scale EPC projects.

Familiarity with industry safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).

Knowledge of contract negotiation and management.

Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites. Site visits may be required to perform engineering assessments, inspections, and technical troubleshooting. A strong commitment to safety protocols will be essential during these site visits.

Reporting Structure:
The Project Engineer - EPC will report to the Project Manager and will work closely with the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to competitive compensation, Total-Western, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
