Key Responsibilities
Design & Coordination: Lead the design & coordination efforts among architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design consultants across various project stages to ensure a cohesive and integrated design approach. To oversee the design development process across residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects in Mumbai.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams on all matters related to design, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Concept to Execution: Drive the design strategy from initial concept development through to detailed drawings, tender documentation, and construction deliverables, ensuring continuity and fidelity to the original design vision. Bridge architectural design with project management, ensuring design intent is maintained from concept through execution, while aligning with regulatory norms, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with applicable local building codes, Development Control Regulations (DCR), the National Building Code (NBC), and statutory approval processes including municipal, fire, and environmental clearances.
Design Review: Conduct comprehensive design reviews and audits of consultant deliverables to ensure design quality, functional efficiency, and ease of construction (buildability).
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for design optimization and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising on design aesthetics or quality.
Project Scheduling: Collaborate with the project management team to synchronize design deliverables with overall project timelines and milestones.
Other Certifications/Knowledge required
Knowledge & Abilities
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B. Architecture / M. Architecture) from a recognized university.
• Registered with the Council of Architecture (CoA), India.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in architectural design and design management roles.
• Proficient in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building services, and the full project lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience with large-scale or high-rise developments is an added advantage.
