As a Property Accountant, you will be a vital part of our dynamic finance team, contributing to our goal of providing exceptional financial services. You will be responsible for managing financial matters related to our property portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, Budgeting, Financial Statements. Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage all financial aspects of our property portfolio, including but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring they comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Develop and maintain budgeting systems, implementing changes as necessary to improve financial control and management.
• Prepare financial statements for internal and external use, ensuring they meet all necessary legal and company requirements.
• Utilize Yardi software for property management accounting, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with other members of the finance team to improve financial procedures and systems.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation, budgeting, financial statements and tax information.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with financial software systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, high levels of integrity, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
