- Lesson Planning and Teaching:
- Develop and implement detailed lesson plans for English and Social Science (SST) based on the school curriculum.
- Teach English, focusing on reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
- In Social Science, deliver lessons on History, Geography, and Civics in an engaging and interactive manner.
- Use various teaching methods, including discussions, storytelling, multimedia tools, and project-based learning to make lessons interesting and effective.
- Classroom Management:
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and disciplined learning environment.
- Ensure active student participation and manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel encouraged to contribute.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Regularly assess students’ understanding and progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic performance.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior, and attendance.
- Student Support:
- Offer additional help or remedial sessions to students who require extra attention or support in English or Social Science.
- Encourage students to read more, participate in activities related to English and Social Science, and help develop their critical thinking skills.
- Motivate students to develop an interest in history, geography, and social studies.
- Curriculum Enhancement:
- Collaborate with other teachers to contribute to the continuous development of the English and Social Science curriculum.
- Integrate interdisciplinary approaches in lessons (e.g., relating English skills to Social Science topics).
- Organize and participate in educational activities such as field trips, events, and projects that bring real-world relevance to Social Science topics.
- Parental Communication:
- Regularly communicate with parents regarding their child’s academic progress and well-being.
- Meet with parents during parent-teacher conferences to discuss students' strengths and areas for improvement.
- Professional Development:
- Engage in professional development opportunities, workshops, and seminars to improve teaching skills and stay updated on new teaching strategies.
- Work as a part of a team to share best practices and collaborate for improved classroom outcomes.
• Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) with a degree in English and Social Science (History, Geography, Civics) or a related field.
- Experience: Prior teaching experience in English and Social Science at the primary school level is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong command of English language (spoken and written).
- Ability to simplify complex topics for young learners.
- Effective classroom management skills and the ability to maintain student engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity in teaching and using different teaching methods to keep students interested.
• Working Conditions:
- Full-time teaching role in a primary school setting.
- Regular school hours with occasional extracurricular activities or school events.
- Participation in school-wide programs such as competitions, celebrations, and parent-teacher meetings.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
