Job Description
This is a good opportunity for psychologists who want to improve their skills and experience to provide evidence-based trauma-focused psychotherapy. An initial period of training and supervision will be provided, and ongoing training, mentorship and opportunities to consult with the team are available, to help you grow professionally, stay current in the field of psychology, and enhance treatment outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Administer and interpret psychological assessments to evaluate clients' treatment needs and progress;
Provide trauma-focused psychotherapy to individuals struggling with traumatic experiences;
Write intake and progress reports to document clients' treatment journey;
Collaborate closely within the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients;
Liaise with the clients’ case managers;
Supports clients with their potential return to work.
Experience:
Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
Prior experience working with adults with mental health issues;
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to various client needs.
