This family in Aspen Woods (Calgary) is looking for an energetic and patient part-time nanny to help care for their +-year-old and 6-year-old, starting mid-August. They're offering up to $35 per hour for the right candidate.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 1:45 PM – 5:45 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing general childcare.
Picking up children from school(s).
Taking the kids to registered activities.
Preparing snacks and occasional meals.
Engaging in activities such as crafts, playing, and going to the park.
Both children enjoy sports (hockey, baseball, biking, scootering, etc.) and playing at the park. The youngest also loves crafting and creating. Both children have ADHD and require additional support in social situations, such as helping navigate their emotions. It's important that the nanny can help the children work through social challenges, for example, problem-solving, compromising, and managing conflict.
The ideal candidate is someone who is high-energy, fun, patient, and consistent. They should be an excellent communicator who enjoys the outdoors, sports, and crafts. The ability to juggle the needs of two active boys is essential.
The family also has one dog who does not require care. However, the children may let her out or play with her, so the nanny will need to guide them in bringing her back in and ensuring she doesn’t go out the front door.
Driving is required, and a vehicle will be provided for work purposes.
