Role Description: Candidate will be responsible for conducting village-to-village surveys, analyzing health policies, conducting public health research,
Scale and assess the direct and indirect impact of central and state govt health schemes on communities, individuals, and social landscape through dialogues between stakeholders, local governments, NGOs, and public to ensure that their voices are heard and incorporated into planning and implementation of schemes and through health assessments.
Qualifications : Analytical Skills, Research, Health Policy, Public Health analysis
Currently pursuing bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Public Policy, Data Science, Design Studies , Nursing, MBBS, Physiotherapy or related field
Impact of essential health services and support to communities, in underserved or rural areas.
Work closely with individuals and families to promote health education, provide basic medical care, assist with disease prevention, and link community members with healthcare resources.
Suggest measures for bridging the gap between the healthcare system and the local population.
Health Education & Promotion Community-based health education sessions on nutrition, hygiene, maternal and child health, mental health, prevention of common diseases (tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS).
Health Monitoring and Basic Care Monitor health of individuals, particularly pregnant women, children, and elderly community members, through regular health check-ups and assessments.
Facilitate basic healthcare services ; first aid, hygiene, maternal support ( prenatal-postnatal care).
Assist in monitoring the progress of individuals with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, or tuberculosis, ensuring they follow prescribed treatment plans.
Concern & Care : Identify individuals requiring specialized medical care or treatment and refer them to appropriate healthcare facilities or medical professionals.
Maternal and Child Health Support Provide guidance and support to pregnant women, new mothers, and children on nutrition, breastfeeding, immunization, and early childhood development.
Encourage expectant mothers to attend antenatal care visits, ensure proper postnatal care for mothers and infants.
Track immunization schedules and ensure that children and infants receive timely vaccinations.
Health Data Collection and Reporting Collect and maintain health data on individuals, including health assessments, immunization records, and maternal health information
Collaboration with Health Authorities and Community Organizations Work closely with local healthcare providers, govt health departments, community organizations to deliver health services effectively.
Participate in community health programs & initiatives organized by local or national health authorities.
Collaborate with community-based workers, such as social workers, educators, farmers, teachers, asha workers, anganwadi workers, volunteers, to address public health issues in a holistic manner.
Reports on community health status, awareness on diseases, vaccination rates, program outcomes.
Submit regular reports to supervisors on community health activities, trends, emerging health issues.
Advocacy and Support : Provide emotional and psychological support to individuals and families facing health challenges, particularly those affected by chronic illness or mental health conditions.
Working Conditions: Full-time, community-based role, working within the local village or rural areas.
Work involves regular visits to households, health centers, and community gatherings.
Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the community.
Timeline : January +th- April +th with feasibility of two extensions
