About the agency
This specialist Sydney-based agency has spent over two decades at the forefront of healthcare PR, known for its deep expertise in navigating the highly regulated pharmaceutical landscape. Currently in a phase of exciting growth, the agency has maintained its boutique, close-knit feel while delivering the kind of high-impact work usually reserved for global networks. The culture is built on a “Type A” excellence – think precision, strategic thinking, and exceptional client management.

About the job
You’ll manage a portfolio of 3 – 4 major pharmaceutical accounts, developing and tailoring stories for different publications to drive meaningful behaviour change – from increasing flu vaccination uptake to supporting cancer awareness and patient outcomes.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Leading the media agenda for the agency, using your established journalist relationships to secure high-impact coverage in a crowded health landscape.
Working with trusted spokespeople and medical experts to release annual industry-leading reports and white papers.
Navigating the creative constraints of a highly regulated space to deliver campaigns that genuinely move the needle for patients and providers.
Overseeing the delivery of complex behaviour-change campaigns that integrate media relations, public affairs, and growing social/digital elements.
Taking an active role in the development of junior team members and providing daily guidance.
About you
You are an established PR professional with 4 – 6 years of experience. A background in healthcare communications and/or agency life is advantageous.
You love the thrill of the pitch and are confident picking up the phone to sell in a story to a top-tier editor.
While direct healthcare experience is a major plus, a genuine passion for the sector is essential.
You have experience working with complex narratives, like in healthcare/pharma, and possess the ability to turn technical data into compelling stories.
You possess exceptional time management and the ability to pivot between different client mandates with ease.
