Key Responsibilities:
• Sourcing and Vendor Management:Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials like wood, fabric, hardware, and other components.
• Negotiation and Contract Management:Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Purchase Order Management:Create and manage purchase orders, track their progress, and ensure timely delivery.
• Cost Control:Analyze and monitor purchasing costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and ensure the most cost-effective sourcing options.
• Quality Assurance:Verify the quality of materials and components, working with suppliers to address any quality issues.
• Inventory Management:Collaborate with inventory management to ensure sufficient raw materials are available while minimizing waste and storage costs.
• Material Planning:Work with production planning to forecast material needs and ensure timely availability.
• Supplier Relationship Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, building trust and fostering collaboration.
• Compliance:Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
