Responsibilities

Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs
The Purchasing Coordinator - Rx is responsible to assists in maintaining the inventory levels of infusion related medical products and supplies for multiple infusion centers and related pharmacies
Orders pharmaceutical medications and medical supplies for pharmacies and infusion centers
Utilizes inventory control programs and policies to achieve targeted inventory levels at multiple locations
Creates purchase orders and checks/maintains inventory levels for multiple locations
Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week

Purchasing Coordinator - Rx
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (1-2 days/week onsite in office). The selected candidate must reside within 50 miles or one hour commute from Elevance Health Pulse Point Location.
Schedule: This position will work on the hours from +:00 am-6:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Additional hours or days may be required based on operational needs.

How You Will Make An Impact
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
• Orders pharmaceutical medications and medical supplies for pharmacies and infusion centers.
• Utilizes inventory control programs and policies to achieve targeted inventory levels at multiple locations.
• Creates purchase orders and checks/maintains inventory levels for multiple locations.
Minimum Requirements
• Requires a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of purchasing and inventory control experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills
• Bachelor's degrees preferred.
• Experience with multi-location purchasing is strongly preferred.
• IV Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred.
