PYP Dance Teacher

• Develop and implement a PYP dance program that aligns with the school's mission, curriculum, and standards. • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that meet the diverse needs of students in a safe and inclusive environment. • Teach students the elements of dance, including body, space, time, and energy, and how to apply them in their creative work. • Develop students' physical skills, including coordination, balance, strength, and flexibility, through a variety of movement experiences. • Foster students' creativity and self-expression through dance • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to engage and motivate students and differentiate instruction. • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists to integrate dance into the transdisciplinary units and support students' holistic development. • Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and adjust teaching as needed to meet learning goals. • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about students' progress, achievements, and areas for growth. • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with research and trends in dance education and the IB programme.
