Urgent - Qualified Educator Required in Maudsland
We are seeking a qualified educator to provide before- and care from midday for a 7-year-old child in Maudsland who has some complex challenges.
Role Overview:
The child may experience emotional meltdowns when dysregulated, so it’s important that the educator has experience and confidence in supporting children with challenging behaviors. A calm and structured approach will be essential in maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with morning and afternoon routines.
Provide care and supervision before and after school.
Manage challenging behaviors with patience, understanding, and confidence.
Follow a structured routine to support the child’s emotional and physical needs.
Pick up the child from school earlier if necessary (the child may attend school until 3pm, but early pickup may be required depending on their needs).
Days and Hours Required:
Monday to Friday
6.15AM - 8:45 AM (PAID 3 HOURS)
12.00PM - 5:00 PM (flexibility to pick up the child early from school if needed)
Full days during the school holidays.
Hourly Rate:
$41.60 per hour
*The successful applicant will have the following prerequisites:
Certificate III in Children’s Services (ACECQA approved)
Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (in a childcare setting)
Blue Card
Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
Public liability insurance (once successfully placed)
Medical Clearance
Child Protection (refresher required every 2 years)
ABN (this role is for a self employed/contractor)
Photo ID
PRODA RA (the office will assist you with this)
