Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Vasai
Experience Required: 5–10 Years
Industry: Sheet Metal Fabrication / Manufacturing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the sheet metal industry and a deep understanding of CNC Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, cutting processes, PPC, and Quality Control tools. This role is critical in ensuring product standards, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement across production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality control systems for sheet metal fabrication
Monitor and inspect production processes including CNC laser cutting, CNC bending, and cutting operations
Ensure compliance with internal and customer quality standards
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Utilize Quality Control tools such as 7 QC tools, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and control charts
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and inspection records
Coordinate with the PPC (Production Planning & Control) and production teams to ensure quality at every stage
Train operators and production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques
Support audits (internal and external) and certifications (ISO, etc.)
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or a related field
2-5 years of experience in quality control within the sheet metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment
Key Skills:
Strong understanding of sheet metal processes including CNC Laser Cutting, CNC Bending, and Cutting
Hands-on experience with QC tools: 7 QC Tools, FMEA, CAPA, 5 Why, Control Plans, etc.
Knowledge of PPC processes and coordination with production teams
Familiarity with standards like ISO +001, and experience in internal audits
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office and quality management systems (QMS)
