Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Food safety internal audits.
Conduct regular internal audits of prerequisite programs (e.g., sanitation, pest control, allergen management), in the processing area and storages to verify compliance with the applicable requirements/standards.
2. Training management.
Maintain full responsibility for scheduling and coordinating training related to food safety, organic, kosher, Demeter, non-GMO, and other relevant certifications.
3. Supplier approval program.
Support the approval process for suppliers, ensuring all documentation related to supplier qualifications (e.g., certifications, audits) is up to date and compliant.
4. Customer complaints and retained sample evaluations.
Assist with the evaluation of retained samples related to customer complaints.
5. Root cause and corrective action (RCCA) support.
Assist in investigating non-conformances and customer complaints.
6. Policy and procedure support.
Assist in the creation, review, and updating of policies and procedures related to food safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
7. Document control and filling.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate filing of QA and QC documentation, including audits, training records, certifications, qc hold, and supplier documents.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
·Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment or quality control/quality assurance is a plus.
·Strong organizational and communication skills.
·Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSMA) and certification standards (organic, kosher, non-GMO) preferred.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
·Bilingual English/Spanish (REQUIRED)

·Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Knowledge of quality management systems is a plus.
