Specifically, you will be part of the Bank’s Modeling & Analytics team
The internship will provide the opportunity to work on tier 1&2 models that are being used at the Bank

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): California

First Citizens Bank offers an exciting summer internship program that provides development opportunities and hands on work experience while creating a talent pipeline for the Bank. Our interns will apply classroom knowledge in a corporate environment while making a positive impact across the organization and the communities we serve. Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program

• 3.0 minimum GPA
• Strong desire to learn and grow

• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Excel that has been applied to actual projects, in school or at work.
• Undergraduate degree with relevance working experiences, or master’s degree candidate (to finish year 1 at the start of the internship), in Financial Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, and other domains that support the training of required skills.
• Highly self-sufficient (proactive, independent, and resourceful) while being a good team player (collaborative, open-minded, responsible, and accountable)
• Prior work experience as a modeling/quantitative analyst or consultant, especially in the financial service industry
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and Excel
• Knowledge of credit risk modeling (CECL)
• Strong desire to learn and grow
