Job Summary:
The R&D Officer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling up processes for the synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The role involves experimental design, documentation, and coordination with process development, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth technology transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct research and development of new API molecules and intermediates.
• Design and execute synthetic routes for APIs with focus on yield, purity, and process efficiency.
• Perform laboratory experiments, process optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare process development reports, batch manufacturing records (BMRs), and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with analytical and quality teams for sample testing and analysis.
• Participate in process scale-up and technology transfer from R&D to pilot plant or production.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and EHS standards in all lab activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experimental work in lab notebooks.
• Support patent literature search, process improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Assist during internal and external audits as required.
