Job Title: Reading Specialist

Salary Range: $ 4+,450.80 - $ +0,675.86
Hours per week: Full Time
General Statement: Provide educational support to student achievement in the area of reading with specific focus on instructional and mentoring practices. This includes maintaining a positive learning environment, where all students are encouraged to participate, ask questions and generally receive the individual attention they deserve to effectively learn the material in a lesson plan.
Responsibilities:
Provide small group and individual reading intervention to students identified as needing tier support.
Use data to design lessons that differentiate instruction for students’ needs.
Provide support by using research based strategies and lessons to support student learning through print and web based supports.
Collaborate with content teachers and district leadership.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Evidence of leadership experience.
Evidence of teaching reading across content areas.
Evidence of using a multi-sensory approach when appropriate.
Evidence of ability to work collaboratively with teachers.
Education:
Masters Degree Required.
Certification & Licensing:
Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
Authorized to work in the USA
Current national background check without disqualifying results at time of hire.
