Job description
RETS Associates has been exclusively retained by a dynamic commercial real estate development and investment firm to find a skilled Real Estate Accountant for their Tustin, CA office. This small office, known for its friendly and supportive team, has achieved tremendous success with Fund I and is now in the process of raising $100 million for Fund II. This vital role will manage day-to-day accounting activities for a diverse portfolio of high-profile commercial properties and corporate entities.

Key responsibilities include compiling accurate monthly financial reports in line with various accounting standards, supporting month-end close activities (such as bank and account reconciliations, journal entries, managing fixed assets, and conducting variance analysis), and overseeing cash management through detailed cash flow reports. You will manage intercompany transactions, allocate expenses, prepare information for audits and tax compliance, participate in the annual budgeting process, and maintain daily communication with multiple offices. Additionally, you will support lease administration alongside the Asset and Property Managers.
• *Requirements:**

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.

- Proficiency with Yardi Voyager.

- Experience with fund accounting is a plus.
