Office Location: Fort St John

Salary: $54,633.64 - $61,641.15 – Permanent Full-Time, based on a 35-hour work week.
An additional 10.75% Job Family Market Multiplier will be added to the posted salary.
An additional 3% Location Allowance will be added to posted salary for northern location.

About the Job:
The Receptionist, working out of the operational head office in Fort St. John, is the interface between the BCER and the Public/Industry, and the first point of contact for external parties on behalf of the entire organization. This position is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the reception and public areas, and the provision of a full range of administrative support services, including receiving, diagnosing, resolving and/or escalating inquiries pertaining to a wide variety of issues and situations.

This position works in an environment where communications frequently concern complex, sensitive and urgent matters. This position will be called upon to handle a variety of routine and non-routine requests, inquiries and correspondence, including the processing of urgent and sensitive matters, in which good judgement and sound decision making is involved. The ability to make immediate decisions, diffuse potentially volatile situations and address sensitive issues, while maintaining a high-level of professionalism, is integral to the position.
