Job Description:We are looking for a qualified computer technician to install, maintain and repair computer systems, hardware, software and to provide level1 assistance on network and servers. You will be the one to ensure that adequate IT infrastructure is in place and is used to its maximum capabilities.As a computer technician you must be well-versed in computer systems and basic knowledge of network functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.Responsibilities:• Setting up and installing new hardware and software systems.• Diagnosing and troubleshooting computer issues.• Maintaining hardware and software by conducting regular maintenance and updates.• Identifying and resolving network, connectivity and server issues.• Upgrading firmware, software and outdated hardware systems.• Providing technical support to users and resolving technical errors.• Creating user documents and providing training to the users on new systems.• Preparing technical documents, such as error and maintenance reports. • Keep track of IT assets inventory and provision new hire equipment such as laptop, desktop, cell phones.• Setting up IT infrastructure from scratch at new locations.• Communicating with third party vendors for software, hardware, network, ISPs for speedy resolution of the issues. • Should be able to negotiate with vendors on procurement of software, hardware and network equipment’s.
Qualifications
• Graduate/Diploma in any discipline with 4 to 7 years of experience.• Proficiency in windows operating system, certification will be added advantage.• Exceptional working knowledge of computer systems, including networks, servers, and system maintenance.• Good understanding of computer equipment, including laptops, printers, and routers.• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.• Good written and verbal communication skills.• The ability to stay up to date with the latest advancements in hardware and software.
