Job Title: Regional Lead Nurse
Hours of Work: Full-time
Reporting to: Head of Clinical Services
Accountable to: Director of Nursing

ROLE PURPOSE
The Regional Lead Nurse is responsible for ensuring the quality of care and safety of our clients and carers.
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services and working closely with fellow Regional Lead Nurses and Regional Care Manager, the Regional Lead Nurse will lead and support the Nurse Case Managers within the region to ensure all care is safe and quality driven.
The Regional Lead Nurse will hold a small caseload whilst supporting the growth of the business with the assessing and onboarding of new clients and delivering clinical training when required.
Leadership & key working relationships
• Report to the Head of Clinical Services.
• Work in partnership with fellow Regional Lead nurses.
• Work closely with the Regional Care Manager to ensure an integrated approach to care delivery through operational and clinical teams.
• Build strong relationships with commissioners and community multidisciplinary teams.
• Build relationships with Clients and families - assuring quality of services provided and as the escalation for aspects of service not resolved at Nurse Case Manager level.
• Lead and manage the Nurse Case Managers ensuring they understand their responsibilities and accountabilities.
• Work with Director of Nursing, Operations Director, Commercial Director, Finance Director, and their teams
Service delivery, quality, and governance
• Ensure the concept and benefits of establishing appropriately skilled and matched core care teams around clients is understood by all members of the regional team, clients and commissioners and ensure this approach underpins service delivery.
• Responsible for the achievement of a smooth onboarding process for new clients, meeting the operational, clinical, and financial parameters agreed within the contract and HFH commercial thresholds.
• Responsible for ensuring clients receive the best possible care.
• Attend the HFH Virtual Care Round (VCR) review for all clients within the region at least once a month, more frequently when there are issues to be resolved.
• Ensure actions agreed at the Virtual Care Round are followed through.
• Support and coach the Nurse Case Managers in investigating and addressing issues, endeavouring to address with without the client feeling the need to escalate to formal complaint.
• Take responsibility for escalation and intervention where situations cannot be resolved by Nurse Case Managers, in conjunction with Regional Care Manager where appropriate.
• Support with the reviewing of all clinical policies and procedures.
• Ensuring all clinical SOPs are implemented and followed.
