Position Overview:
The Regional Loss Prevention Manager plays a crucial role in assessing and reducing both external and internal shrinkage across the assigned districts. This includes implementing policies, procedures, and systems while conducting internal investigations regarding fraud, abuse, or misconduct. You will lead a dynamic team of 8 to 11 District Loss Prevention Managers to effectively mitigate all factors contributing to company shrink, such as internal theft, shoplifting, fraud, product damage, safety issues, and more.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Champion company-wide initiatives to control all sources of shrink and advocate for shrink control in business operations.
• Continuously develop and execute strategies to minimize company shrink.
• Oversee and conduct investigations as necessary, ensuring appropriate actions are taken post-investigation for your assigned districts.
• Ensure adherence to key company standards related to loss prevention, safety, facility maintenance, and all posts/notifications.
• Create and implement training and development plans for the Loss Protection department.
• Foster a team-oriented environment with District Loss Prevention Managers and store teams.
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for District Loss Prevention candidates.
• Collaborate with Regional Store Directors on profit enhancement initiatives.
• Manage Workers' Compensation, General and Product Liability claims, and paperwork for assigned districts.
• Oversee all Loss Prevention requirements for new stores.
• Ensure all security equipment, including camera systems, alarms, and safes are functioning effectively.
• Facilitate Asset Protection training for all store management and associates.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Loss Prevention Managers in your region to ensure focus on shrink reduction and proficiency in loss prevention fundamentals.
• Guide team members to achieve results in key Loss Prevention metrics, overall company goals, and profitability.
• Complete additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Higher education, including two and four-year degrees in criminal justice, is required.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in loss prevention within a retail service-oriented environment, or demonstrated skills through an internal development program and selection process.
• Effective management capabilities in a professional environment.
• Wise judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient planning, prioritization, and implementation of detailed instructions.
• Ability to learn and communicate new information and processes to all associates in alignment with company standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team successfully.
• Prior experience managing Loss Prevention associates is preferred.
• WZ/Reid interviewing certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent travel to stores and distribution centers, including overnight stays, is expected.
• Must be available for regular night and weekend hours.
• Ability to drive long distances required.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
• Capability of prolonged sitting and working at a computer.
• Must be able to see, hear, and speak regularly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A valid state-issued driver's license is necessary.
• Must maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times.
• AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY - This position currently oversees * District Loss Prevention Managers and 171 store locations across Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia, and West Virginia.
