Overview
We are seeking an individual with a minimum of one year of RN experience for this role.

The Simon Family Tower NICU is a 60 bed, Level IV neonatal intensive care unit. Critically ill newborns are admitted from around the state that may require ECMO, surgical interventions, Neuro-NICU care, or several other high-risk and specialty services. Nurses work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care and support to patients and families as they celebrate successes, navigate the challenges of complex diagnoses, or face end-of-life decisions.
Shift: PRN
Nursing skills gained on this unit:
Critical care assessment skills of the Level IV NICU patient
Ventilator management, including high frequency jet and oscillator ventilators, invasive lines, IV drips
Training opportunities for Aquadex & ECMO
Assist with bedside procedures such as: central line and chest tube placement, intubation, ECMO, and surgeries performed at bedside for patients too critically ill for OR
Bereavement Care

Qualifications
Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
