About the role:
We, at Turing, are looking for talented remote senior front-end web developers who will own projects and implement technical designs in order to develop and deliver exceptional web applications for different platforms. Job responsibilities
- Create reliable, scalable, low-latency, and high-performance web applications
- Mentor and manage the development team to design, develop, and deliver fully functional products
- Collaborate with back-end developers and develop features that improve the user experience
- Define standard practices and maintain brand consistency all across the web pages
- Take ownership of all phases of software delivery including design, development, testing & support
- Maintain and optimize applications for maximum speed and responsiveness
- Ensure products conforms to high industry performance and quality standards
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and drive advancements
- Research and implement web development best practices, industry trends, and processes in projects
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in front-end web development (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Ample working experience with front-end technologies like React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, etc.
- Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git, SVN, BitBucket, etc.
- Expertise in integrating front-end features with back-end microservices
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design and layout
- Strong knowledge of responsive and cross-platform designs
- Knowledge of SEO principles and software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and content management systems is an added advantage
- Fluent in English to communicate effectively
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
