Are you a committed and compassionate professional with previous experience of working with young people?

As a Reparation and ISS Sessional Worker, you will be helping young people understand the impact of their actions, make amends and positively contribute to their communities. Your role will be crucial to support the delivery of meaningful reparation activities for young people involved in the Youth Justice System.

About the role

Deliver Reparation Projects: You will facilitate structured, supervised reparation activities that reflect the needs of victims and the community.

Engage Young People: Building positive relationships with vulnerable young people, you will encourage participation, accountability and personal growth.

Promote Restorative Justice: You will help young people understand the consequences of their actions and support them in making constructive choices.

Collaborate with Teams: Working closely with Youth Justice Officers, victims and community partners, you will ensure reparation activities are meaningful and impactful.

Risk Assessment: You will conduct dynamic risk assessments during reparation activities, identifying and addressing potential risks to ensure the safety of young people, staff and community members.

Confidentiality: You will maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information relating to young people, victims and their families, ensuring appropriate information sharing only occurs withing professional boundaries and in accordance with data protection legislation.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Experience working with young people, preferably in a youth justice, social care or education setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
Flexible, reliable and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
