Job Description

Research activities as assigned, primarily assisting with quantitative elements of the research project (in collaboration with the research team), such as statistical analysis and REDCAP, and qualitative elements (interviews and focus groups), as required
Co-ordinate logistics for the project (meetings with research team, clinics, site visits, grant development)
Co-ordinate all aspects related to patient engagement (compensation, support, etc.)
Work closely with Research Associate on the project team (who will provide expertise in qualitative research) on research activities (interviews, surveys, KT activities such as development of an implementation manual, drafting manuscripts, event planning, etc.)
Support any reporting aspects for funder reports, as required (such as annual reporting)
PCC Measurement Project

Work with the research team for this project to assist with communications and work with clinics around the province to explain the project, and support the work of the grant team on the project as a whole
Lead assigned streams of work for this multi-site, province-wide project, which will include working with partners across Alberta, as well as a group of patient research partners
Support any reporting aspects for funder reports, as required (such as annual reporting)
Ethics Support

Act as a primary resource for the Person-Centred Care Team supporting the creation, submission and monitoring of ethics applications to the appropriate research ethics boards
Work with team to develop the content and act as the primary liaison between the team and the ethics review board on most ethics board applications
Mentor team members to develop knowledge and skills of ethics processes to assist in making the processes easier
Qualifications / Requirements:

Graduate-level degree (research or clinical) in a health-related discipline an asset
Experience with research ethics processes, and completion of TCPS2 is an asset
Expertise in youth mental health a strong asset
Experience with evaluation and measurement a strong asset
3-5 years' experience working in a research setting
Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research
Experience in NVivo, Covidence and similar research tools is an asset
Experience working with patient research partners as asset
Resourceful, innovative, creative, strategic, organized, with demonstrated leadership abilities
Good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy
Ability to receive direction, collaborate with others in setting goals, and work effectively in teams to achieve the agreed upon goals
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Ability to communicate well with colleagues from various disciplines as well as with external collaborators within a complex initiative
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patient records
Computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.; experience with electronic medical records, clinical information systems, and/or clinical trial management systems an asset)
