About the Role

The Research Fellow will play a key part in advancing a dynamic research project, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Research Team to achieve project milestones and Key Performance Indicators.

The incumbent will bring conversation analysis expertise, contributing both independently and as part of the team to the planning and delivery of research activities, bringing forward innovative ideas, reviewing relevant literature, and supporting the generation of high-quality data.

This will be a lead role in coordinating and delivering project tasks, particularly those involving collaboration with industry partners, ensuring effective communication and alignment of objectives. The position also involves contributing to the preparation and refinement of grant applications, as well as participating in seminars, meetings, and conferences to support knowledge exchange and project visibility.

A strong focus of the role is maintaining ethical, rigorous, and impactful research practices. This includes contributing to scholarly outputs such as publications in high-quality journals and supporting applications for external research funding.

About You

You will hold a PhD in a relevant social science or health discipline, with a strong academic background aligned to the responsibilities of the role. You bring demonstrated expertise in conversation analysis, supported by a track record of high-quality research and scholarly contribution.

You are an effective collaborator with experience working in transdisciplinary teams, including engagement with non-academic partners such as clinicians and healthcare consumers. Your ability to build and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role. You will bring experience in conducting research in healthcare settings or palliative care, or transferrable experience from other professional settings.

With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you are confident contributing to collaborative projects while also taking initiative where required. You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to advancing research outcomes.

You will also have a proven record of research dissemination, including publications in leading international journals, as well as experience producing reports, conference presentations, and other scholarly outputs.
