Job Description
The Sebel Auckland Manukau has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Reservations Agent to join the Front Office Team in a part time role (32 hours per week).
The ideal candidate we are looking for is an individual who has the capacity to:
Provide professional, friendly, and knowledgeable support to guests, travel agents, and corporate clients. Always striving to go the extra mile!
Multitask and thrive under pressure, supported by strong organizational and time management skills.
Manage all incoming booking inquiries, ensuring accurate input of details and maximizing occupancy.
Upsell room types, packages, and services while adhering to pricing strategies and set rates.
Ensure all guest information, preferences, and booking details are accurately recorded in the Property Management System (PMS).
Use their proficiency and experience using Opera/Opera Cloud software.
Be a proactive problem solver, handling booking inquiries, modifications, and challenges with confidence.
Communicate guest requests and special requirements effectively to all internal teams for seamless service and ensure a positive guest experience.
Keep up to date with reservation systems, loyalty programs, promotions, and brand standards to enhance guest experiences.
Have great attention to detail and a high standard of personal presentation.
Become an advocate for Accor Live Limitless loyalty program, driving strong results with the Front Office team.
Qualifications
1 - 2 years' experience in hotel reservations or similar would be an advantage
Proficiency and experience using Opera/Opera Cloud software
Confidence to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
Good computer skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
The ability to remain calm under pressure whilst delivering results
Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
Great attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Capable of embracing a flexible roster including public holidays.
