Summary:

Are you a passionate leader ready to make a meaningful impact in long-term care? Providence Health Care (PHC) is currently hiring a Resident Care Manager for our Langara site.
As a key operational leader, you’ll oversee an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and person-centered care for our residents. In collaboration with a Physician Leader, you’ll be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of services within a large clinical program, while supervising and supporting nursing leadership roles such as Clinical Nurse Leaders and Unit Supervisors.
What you’ll do:
Reports to the Director, Operations or Director, Clinical Operations, Seniors Care.
Provides operational leadership and support to interdisciplinary team members in delivering quality care to patients/residents and their families.
Shares responsibility with a Physician Leader for the effective and efficient delivery of services within designated sub-units of a large clinical program.
Leads and supervises interdisciplinary staff, including Clinical Nurse Leader(s) (CNLs), Unit Supervisor(s), and/or equivalent nursing leadership roles in direct care units.
Promotes and facilitates a continuum of care both internally and with external agencies, aligning with program goals and strategic direction.
Implements and utilizes quality improvement, utilization management, staff development, and resource management strategies.
Collaborates within the Program Based Care Model alongside Program Leaders, Patient/Resident Care Managers, Practice Leaders, and Corporate/Support Leaders.
Functions as the Site Leader for multiple sites or oversees multiple programs within a site (e.g., Youville/Brock Fahrni, Langara, Holy Family).
Works with clinical, corporate, and support leaders to ensure smooth operations and consistent application of corporate policies and regulations across sites.

What You Bring:
QUALIFICATIONS

The following qualifications and competencies are required to successfully provide the leadership necessary to fulfill the Mission, Vision, and Values of Providence Health Care:
Masters degree in a related Health Profession
Minimum of five (5) years' experience at the middle management level in a medium to large health care organization
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Your Day to Day:
Lead interdisciplinary teams, including CNL(s) and/or Unit Supervisors, to ensure patient-centered, coordinated care delivery.
Collaborate with Physician Operations Leader to manage efficient care within assigned sub-units, aligning with program objectives and PHC’s mission and values.
Lead process improvements with the team, utilizing quality improvement, utilization, and risk management tools, and analyzing data to track progress.
Work with internal and external partners to ensure timely care and address risks, incidents, complaints, and discharge planning.
Ensure clear, two-way communication within the team to keep everyone informed of changes affecting care delivery.
Serve as the interface between sub-units and corporate/support systems, identifying needs and helping to find solutions.
Collaborate with physician partner on budgeting, monitoring productivity, and analyzing budget variances.
Develop recruitment and retention strategies in partnership with HR, supporting clinical goals.
Facilitate orientation programs for new staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary clinical knowledge and hospital procedures.
Implement and evaluate staffing patterns and schedules to meet patient care needs.
Participate in leadership duties, including collective bargaining, grievance proceedings, and service delivery changes.
Foster an environment that encourages interdisciplinary learning, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Professional Practice Leaders and Advanced Practice Nurses.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
