Job Summary
The Residential Assistant plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to residents in a supportive living environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities. The Residential Assistant will assist residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering an environment of respect and dignity.
Duties
This position will be assisting other staff in the home, watching the clients while others have doctor's appointments.
Doing outing for clients in the home.
Filling in when needed.
Experience
Previous experience in long-term care settings such as personal care homes, group homes, or assisted living facilities is preferred.
Familiarity with care giving techniques, including direct support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge of best practices related to personal care, safety protocols, and resident engagement strategies.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
A compassionate demeanor coupled with patience and understanding when working with individuals requiring additional support.
This position is essential for creating a nurturing environment that empowers residents while meeting their unique care needs.
