Position Overview
As a member of a Home Care Team, and accountable to the Team Manager (TM), the incumbent supervises and ensures the efficient delivery of services to Home Care clients by coordinating Direct Service Staff (DSS) consisting of ISWs, HCAs, HSWs and RAs in accordance with the HCA/HSW Collective Agreement, program standards and policies, and care plans developed by Case Coordinators (CC).

The incumbent maintains a competent complement of DSS to meet case load demands including identifying recruitment and education needs; matching, assigning and scheduling DSS; and providing ongoing supervision and evaluation.

Le ou la titulaire s’assure d’avoir un effectif compétent de travailleurs et de travailleuses de première ligne pour répondre à la demande en cernant les besoins en matière de recrutement et de formation; en regroupant et en affectant le personnel de première ligne et en établissant les horaires, ainsi qu’en faisant une supervision et une évaluation continues.

Experience
Previous experience supervising staff, preferably in a unionized environment, is required.
Proficiency in computerized systems (windows environment, word processors, spreadsheets and databases).
Previous experience scheduling staff in work assignments.
Related experience in a healthcare field.
