Previous restaurant experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. The Server will play a key role in upselling menu items and ensuring timely service to maximize guest satisfaction.
Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus promptly
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
Assist with food preparation when necessary, adhering to food safety guidelines
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of tables, utensils, and service areas
Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables during busy periods
Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry preferred
Experience in a South Indian restaurant is an asset
Knowledge of POS systems
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Good understanding of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
Basic math skills for billing and change calculation
Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous
Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
