Job Description
Oversee all daily operations of the Sydney stores to ensure exceptional standards
Support the Area Manager by assisting with operational consistency across Sydney stores when required
Manage advanced store reporting, KPI reviews, and weekly operational summaries
Lead execution of quarterly store improvement plans and brand merchandising updates
Ensure the store meets compliance, audit standards, (including safe pointe shoe fitting practices).
Customer Experience & Technical Expertise
Maintain a high level of service excellence for dancers, parents, and industry professionals
Oversee complex customer fittings including pointe, and speciality shoe requirements
Troubleshoot fitting issues and guide staff during challenging or technical fittings
Liaise with key dance studios and teachers, offering professional support, uniform advice, and specialty orders
Oversee customer escalation management for both your store and, other stores under the direction of the Area Manager when required.
Staff Leadership & Development
Lead the store team, ensuring strong performance, culture, and engagement
Act as the training champion for Sydney stores and other stores under the direction of the Area Manager by assisting with recruitment, onboarding new staff, assisting in pointe shoe straining, customer service, and product standards
Support managers or supervisors in other NSW stores with training refreshers or upskilling sessions
Conduct performance reviews, and coach staff towards meeting their targets.
Work closely with the Area Manager on succession planning and identifying internal talent
Sales, Reporting & Business Performance
Analyse key sales metrics including category performance, and studio order trends
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for the Area Manager
Identify sales opportunities across product categories and relay insights for regional planning
Manage store budgeting, costs, and shrinkage control with high accountability
Support the area with execution of campaigns, launches, and studio partnership events
Inventory, Stock & Visual Merchandising
Oversee stock ordering and replenishment for high-turnover and specialist products
Take lead on regional inventory accuracy by assisting with stocktakes for your store and supporting other NSW stores when required
Ensure superior product presentation, visual merchandising standards, and correct category zoning
Coordinate bulk studio orders, professional company orders, and seasonal costume ranges
Community Partnerships & Brand Support
Act as a brand ambassador at events, studio fittings, workshops, eisteddfods, and competitions
Support new store openings, pop-up activations, and major dance events
Maintain strong relationships with dance schools and industry partners to foster long-term loyalty
