Revenue Accountant

We are excited to hire Revenue Accountant II at Cerner in Bangalore. As a Revenue Accountant, you will act as a key finance contact for all contracts within your assigned client base and ensure contract revenue complies with GAAP. You will also determine how terms, conditions, and schedules within the contract affect the financials. Additional responsibilities as a Revenue Accountant I include determining appropriate revenue treatment for client contracts, overseeing revenue billing backlog to ensure accuracy and timeliness of revenue recognition, reconciling client balances, and managing weekly projections and cash forecasts. You will manage client contract milestones by working with other Cerner associates to determine appropriate timelines to obtain completion documentation as well as assist with corporate statutory audit deliverables.

Working Environment

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 6 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
• At least 1 year of Finance and/or accounting work experience
• At least 5 years of Additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 2 - 4 years of post-qualification work experience (for Chartered Accountants / Cost Accountants or equivalent professional degree) OR 6 years (for MBA/MCOM or Equivalent degree in Finance) in revenue accounting with good working knowledge of AS606 / AS605.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Work, Excel, Outlook, PPT Etc.)
• Good accounting knowledge, written and verbal communication a must.
• Should be willing to work in late EMEA shift and be flexible with expectations / business need (if any).
