About the Career Comeback Program
Our 12-week Career Comeback program is designed to support talented professionals re-entering the workforce. As part of the program, you’ll join us in a permanent role within our Risk team, while receiving personalised support to ease your transition, including:

About the team
Our Credit Hindsight team provides independent Line 2 credit assurance across the Group, with a particular focus on Business Banking. We assess how credit risk is managed and applied, and offer valuable insights and feedback to help enhance the quality of credit decisions across the organisation.

About the role
As a Risk Executive, you’ll join a high-performing team responsible for conducting credit hindsight reviews across a broad range of customers, industries, and geographies. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Credit Hindsight, you’ll assess the quality and consistency of credit decisions, ensuring alignment with Group policies and sound commercial judgment.

Your day-to-day could include

Undertaking hindsight reviews of credit applications across various Business Units and industries

Applying credit expertise to assess decisions against risk appetite, standards, and policy

Producing high-quality insights and review findings that influence business and risk stakeholders

Managing your workload to meet team priorities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

Collaborating with peers to support a strong risk culture and elevate the quality of credit decision-making

We’re looking for people who

Have been on a career break for two years or more (essential)

Hold permanent Australian working rights

Bring 7+ years of credit experience across Commercial or Corporate Banking segments

Have exposure to a broad range of industries and customers, ideally in Line 1 or Line 2 roles

Are confident in conducting credit risk analysis and generating actionable insights

Are strong communicators, able to influence, collaborate and work with purpose
