A key administrative position providing essential support to junior doctors and the wider RMO workforce.

A day in this role sees you at the heart of the hospital, supporting our junior doctors with smooth coordination, quick problemsolving, and trusted administrative expertise. Youll work closely with a dedicated team, juggle priorities with confidence, and play a key part in keeping our RMO workforce running seamlessly all while helping shape a positive, whānaucentred experience for our staff and community

About the Team/Service/ Location
Youll join a supportive, motivated team who are passionate about caring for our community and helping each other grow. The RMO Unit is a fastpaced hub that works closely with our junior doctors, providing the coordination and guidance they rely on every day. Its a collaborative environment where innovation is encouraged, learning is supported, and your contribution genuinely helps shape a positive, whānaucentred experience across Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui
About you
You will need to be someone who is self-motivated, has great initiative and excellent communication skills. Professionalism is key to this position and you will need to be relied upon to effectively manage confidential information which means you need to have superior planning and organisational skills. This position would interest someone who is looking for the opportunity to gain additional administration skills and learn more about the running of a hospital.
You will also need the following key attributes and skills:
Have an understanding of high-level clerical and administration principles
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
A strong customer service focus with ability to develop effective working relationships
The ability to manage highly confidential issues
Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
