Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Medical-Surgical (MS) expertise at a renowned tertiary care medical center located in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. The role is a contract position within a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital known for its leading-edge specialties including lung, liver, and kidney transplants, as well as a close association with the worlds top-ranked neuro institute.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license with Medical-Surgical specialty experience
• Minimum 2 years of core nursing experience within the specialty applied for
• Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, especially in Emergency Department or Neuro ICU
• Cerner EMR proficiency, particularly in ED settings
• Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required within 24-48 hours prior to position acceptance (specific units only)
• Compliance with facility appearance policies: no facial piercings and natural hair colors only
• Own reliable transportation required for travel teams
• Must comply with onboarding deadlines and document completion standards
Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality nursing care in a busy, nationally recognized medical center with 607 beds
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment
• Support nursing students as part of the hospitals educational mission
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards in a Level I Trauma setting

This assignment requires at least a 13-week commitment. Weekly orientations start every Monday except holiday weeks.
