Job Description
Organise and control operations of the company’s road freight fleet
Plan and implement transportation schedules for goods delivery
Liaise with clients to determine requirements and resolve complaints
Ensure compliance with health and safety and NZTA regulations
Oversee purchase and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and fuel
Maintain operational records and prepare reports
Arrange collection and delivery of goods and vehicles
Monitor fleet performance and implement efficiency improvements
Manage driver rosters and ensure adherence to fatigue management rules
Develop cost-control strategies and monitor budgets
Ensure goods are stored and transported under quality standards
Handle bookings and coordinate dispatch activities
Train and supervise staff on operational procedures and safety
Implement GPS and tracking systems for fleet monitoring
