Job Description
Clean and service guest rooms, balconies, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to Sofitel luxury standards
Carry out scheduled, regular, and deep-cleaning tasks including carpets, grout, shower heads, mini bars, air-conditioning, and cabinetry
Assist with turn down service and support Room Attendants with bed making, extra beds, rollaway beds, cots, and accessible room equipment
Maintain immaculate presentation, hygiene, and cleanliness across all areas of the hotel
Respond professionally to guest requests, escalating where required, with warmth and discretion
Use, store, and handle cleaning chemicals safely and economically in line with health and safety guidelines
Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment with care, ensuring trolleys and storerooms are neat and fully functional
Assist with laundry duties, linen distribution, stock replenishment, deliveries, and heavy lifting as required
Report maintenance issues, defective equipment, or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor
Adhere to security, key control, and guest confidentiality procedures at all times
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment is preferred
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with good problem-solving abilities
Physical fitness to stand, lift, push and pull for extended periods
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe handling of chemicals
Proficiency in English; additional languages beneficial
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks
Positive attitude and adaptability to challenging situations
