Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Officer to join our team in the décor and wall coverings space. The successful candidate will be responsible for building retail channels, expanding networks, generating regular sales orders and collections, as well as liaising with architects, interior designers, and stylists.
Additionally, the candidate will need to work closely with client service managers who handle the projects to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain relationships with retail channels, including sizeable multi-brand outlets (MBOs), specialty retailers, and independent dealers.
2. Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share in the decor and wall coverings space.
3. Generate and manage a pipeline of sales leads and opportunities.
4. Close deals with customers and negotiate contracts and agreements.
5. Liaise with architects, interior designers, and stylists to increase brand visibility and establish partnerships.
6. Coordinate with client service managers who handle the projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
8. Collect payments from customers and manage accounts receivable.
+. Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
10. Attend industry events and trade shows to network and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
11. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing materials and promotions. Specific KPIs will be drawn up in line with candidate’s experience, skills, aspirations to include expected targets, do-ables, territories of operations and specific categories to be worked with.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the decor and wall coverings space.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
