Job Description
An IT Infrastructure Field Sales Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical sales support to customers. The role combines hands-on IT infrastructure expertise with customer-facing sales activities, including solution design, demonstrations, site assessments, and implementation support. This position works closely with sales teams to deliver tailored IT solutions that meet customer needs.
Experience: 2+ years
Location: Chennai & Cochin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Visit customer sites to assess existing IT infrastructure and business requirements.
* Provide on-site pre-sales technical support to sales teams.
* Design and recommend IT infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, networking, cloud, security)
* Conduct live product demonstrations and technical presentations at customer locations.
* Prepare technical proposals, solution diagrams, and cost estimates.
* Support proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot installations at customer sites.
* Act as the primary technical contact during the sales cycle.
* Coordinate with vendors, distributors, and internal teams.
* Assist during deployment and handover to implementation/support teams.
* Troubleshoot basic infrastructure issues during field visits.
* Build long-term technical relationships with customers.
