Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Principal Adviser – SAP Technology Enterprise Architect for an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for extension based on individual performance and project needs.
You will play a key leadership role in shaping and driving the cloud architecture strategy for our SAP transformation journey, particularly the migration to SAP S/4HANA RISE PCE. This role will focus on architecting scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions using SAP Cloud Technologies and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), in alignment with enterprise standards and clean core principles.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SAP, a strong understanding of enterprise architecture best practices, and a proven ability to engage across global teams, including internal stakeholders, SI partners, and SAP itself.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and own the SAP Cloud Technology strategy and architecture roadmap to support the successful migration to S/4HANA RISE PCE.
• Ensure solution designs align with business goals, technology strategy, and enterprise architecture guardrails.
• Collaborate with global business and IT stakeholders, including SAP and System Integrators, to define and prioritize SAP BTP capabilities.
• Lead the development of architecture standards for SAP BTP adoption, aligned with clean core and modular enterprise (composable) design principles.
• Guide solution architects and functional teams in aligning BTP-based solutions with functional needs and technical constraints.
• Lead and facilitate design sessions and architecture workshops to ensure alignment across functional and technical domains.
• Partner with the BTP platform team on design, build, and run strategies, services, accelerators, and governance practices.
• Support the creation and refinement of methodologies for BTP-based architecture development and solution governance.
• Contribute to the definition of BTP platform KPIs, including solution usage, performance, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
Experience & Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in SAP architecture, with deep knowledge of SAP Cloud Technologies and the SAP BTP ecosystem.
• Proven experience in multiple S/4HANA implementations or migrations (preferably RISE with SAP).
• Background in leading global SAP programs across multiple time zones and geographies.
• Industry experience in Mining or Metals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with modern enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
