We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. Responsibilities
Manage and monitor SAP landscapes including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and related components to ensure high availability and performance.
Perform system installation, upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing downtime and disruption.
Configure and optimize SAP system parameters, including database tuning for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and SAP HANA environments.
Implement and maintain system security protocols such as system hardening, vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence integration, and access controls.
Collaborate with solution architects to design scalable SAP architecture aligned with enterprise IT infrastructure standards.
Integrate SAP with other enterprise systems using web services (SOAP/REST APIs), middleware (PI/PO), and ETL tools for data transfer and synchronization.
Manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, load balancing strategies, and virtualization environments like VMware or Hyper-V to ensure resilience.
Support DevOps practices by automating deployment processes through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
Monitor system health using tools like Nagios or SolarWinds; troubleshoot issues related to operating systems (Windows/Linux), network configurations (DNS/DHCP/VPN), firewalls, and load balancing solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture diagrams, configuration settings, security policies, and compliance reports.
Experience
Proven experience as an SAP Basis Consultant or Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of SAP architecture principles.
Hands-on knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server and Linux distributions such as Red Hat or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
Familiarity with database management systems like Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SAP HANA.
Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for hybrid cloud deployments involving SAP workloads.
Strong background in IT infrastructure components including network security (firewalls, VPNs), system hardening techniques, load balancing solutions (F5 or similar), and virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi).
Experience working within Agile methodologies utilizing tools like Git for version control and Jenkins for automation.
Knowledge of modern software development practices including SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), microservices architecture, containerization with Kubernetes or Docker.
Skills in scripting languages such as Bash shell scripting or PowerShell to automate routine tasks; familiarity with programming languages like Python or C# is a plus.
